The function of the Legislature is to legislate the laws and procedures under which the state government operates. One of the activities used to accomplish this function is reporting by the interim committees. This series consists of the final reports of various interim committees of each legislature session. They give the recommendations of the committee regarding a particular issue or proposed law. Some of the topics covered by the reports include: education, prisons, medicaid, ethics, agriculture, state parks, judicial compensation, energy and environmental issues, hospital and medical insurance, and finance.
